A Technical Project Manager at Smart Monkeys, Inc. is primarily responsible for overseeing the execution of the project while being deeply involved and engaged in the technical aspects of the project. This role is the primary point of contact for the client and other vendors as it relates to coordination and management of projects. This is a specialized position that provides the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for high profile clients all around the world.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
Provide the company and its clients with show control solutions for audio/visual installations.
Plan and direct multiple projects, system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation with alacrity while effectively meeting deadlines and expectations.
Ensure that projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner to specification, on budget, in contract compliance, and to the client's satisfaction.
Coordinate with Sales, Design, Engineering, Operations, and Support throughout the project lifecycle in a highly collaborative manner, aiding in the handovers between departments and administering project processes.
Work with the Director of Business Operations and other management staff to coordinate resources needed for projects, report on project status and project forecasts, and plan and organize project activity.
Manage project schedules, assignments, deadlines, time tracking, budgets, logistics, and reports using tools established by SMI.
Enforce project scope, alert management of any scope issues, and help to resolve scope deviations.
Coordinate invoicing and billing with the accounting department.
Attend regular meetings, conference calls, and site visits with clients, vendors, and team members and document key items.
Assist in performing and reporting on Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), system commissioning, and other project activities.
Participate in Project Engineering activities including design, development, implementation, programming, and support of control systems, audio DSP, networks, and video playback and presentation systems.
Oversee documentation compilation and ensure that final packages (operations and maintenance manuals, as-built schematics, etc.) are prepared and contract close-out occurs in a timely manner.
Travel regularly to job sites, client workplaces, and contractor facilities in all areas of the world.
Maintain a current passport and other documentation required for international travel.
Coordinate travel and accommodations for project team members.

Self-manage assignments and work autonomously as necessary.
Office Management
Help coordinate and manage receiving incoming deliveries and packing and shipping of outgoing equipment to sites or clients.
Coordinate work from home days and office coverage in the Orlando office.
Maintain office condition and assist in organizing and facilitating office amenities, repair and upkeep, supplies, keys, mail, and other needs.
Assist in hosting events, trainings, and visitation to the Orlando office.
Qualifications
Experience with A/V systems, equipment, concepts, and technologies.
Understanding of advanced control systems.
Experience managing multiple projects utilizing a project management platform such as MS Project, Wrike, Asana, NetSuites, Primavera, SmartSheet, or other solution.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Lua, JavaScript, Node.JS, SQL, etc.) a plus.
Knowledge of Networking Management, Configuration, Deployment, and Operation including VLANs, routing, QoS, IGMP, PTP a plus.
Proficient with Office365 suite including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel (advanced Excel skills a plus).

3 or more years of work experience within the Audio/Visual or Themed Entertainment industries.
2 or more years managing projects, teams, or work activities.

Working Conditions
Occasional travel is to be expected to visit job sites, participate in on-site project meetings, trade shows, or other activities.
The onsite environment will vary for each project. Employee may be asked to wear protective gear on construction sites.
